We waited again for our connection to Paris – hating the Tour Company.
Finally made it to Paris and then had to get another flight to Rennes to begin our canal boat journey.
I had to work very hard on my French.
We both stayed extremely calm as there was no point getting upset. The lady from Air France Really nice and assured us they would be found, hopefully soon.
She gives a 2 Travel Packs containing white T. Shirts – they fitted, toothbrush, comb etc etc.
We then caught a Taxi to Messac to pick up the little boat.
We then had to go shopping but the only shops in Messac are a Supermarket (smallish) and a couple of small businesses. We bought some knickers, a Polo for Darren and Top for me, together with some boat provisions, beer and vin.
We may not have had any clothes but we could at least have a wine.
We had the perfect French dinner – a baguette, some camembert and a glass of red vin.
Next morning bright and early, another lock then some croissant for brecky – can’t work out why the French women are so skinny!
No wakeup calls. The weather has been quite warm and so I was really hot as I only had a pair of jeans. That afternoon in Redon we called the Boat Company who told us that Air France had found the Luggage and they would deliver it to Le Boat who would drive it down to us the next day – great.
They had free WIFI and strong drinks. From there we went to a Restaurant had a great dinner and off to bed.
We weren’t allowed to actually go through the lock into the ocean thank god. Given the chance Darren would have in the very small boat.
Back in the Irish Pub!!
Hi there, we are sitting by the fire in the kitchen thinking of you in Miami.
ReplyDeleteHave you done the guided walking tour, Alice and I did in at dusk. The guide Paula was very glitzy and great. Peter is cooking prawns and barramundi for lunch. Perhaps you need a tracking device on your luggage.
Cheers and travel safely Paula XX
